RULES FOR DOGS

The Sharjah Kennel Center for Dog Care was established with the approval of the Executive Council No. (28) inr the year 2016 and follows the Environment and Nature Reserves Authority of the Emirate. The center aims to provide support and guidance to owners and breeders of dogs and to provide necessary services for training, Community awareness about how to deal with dogs and how to exploit them in the service of the individual and society and the establishment of training courses for this purpose. 

The Center specializes in issuing identification cards and birth certificates for dogs according to the procedures and systems used worldwide, and the establishment of presentations and competitions in the fields related to dogs according to the best international practices and the signing of international conventions that enable the Center to obtain international recognition and enable local educators registered with the Center to participate in international and local competitions Approved.

RULES FOR DOGS ADOPTION

 

In exercise of the power conferred by the Rule 7 of the Rules of the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., the following Regulations for Shows are framed:-

1.         Name and Application :-  These Regulations shall be called the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., Regulations for Shows, hereinafter referred to as the Regulations and shall come into force at once and shall apply to all Dog Shows, Dog Trials, etc, held by permission of the Director.

2.         Repeal:- All Regulations in force heretofore are hereby repealed .

3.         Application of Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., Rules and other Regulations:- The provision contained in the Rules of the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., particularly Rule 3, 4, 7, 9,  19 to 22, and all the provisions contained in the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., Regulations for Registrations shall apply to these Regulations.

4.         Definitions:- In these Regulations, and in any Rules and Regulations and Bye-laws in force for the time being, unless excluded by or repugnant to the context.

            (a) the word “month” shall mean a calendar month.

            (b) “Show” or “Dog Show” shall and include a show held under these Regulations at which dogs are exhibited for competition or awards, and to which the public are admitted.

            (c) “Dog Trial “shall mean and include a show held under these Regulations exclusively confined to Obedience Test at which dogs are exhibited for competition or awards in Obedience and to which the public are admitted.

           (d) “Show Committee” shall mean the committee or other authority undertaking and fully authorized to manage a Dog Show or Dog Trial, or Working Trial or Match.

            (e) “Recognized Show “shall mean and include a Dog Show or Dog Trial, or Working Trial or Field Trial or Match.

                  (i) held by permission of the Director or

                 (ii) held by permission of a body recognized by the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United        Arab Emirates., or

                 (iii) held in a foreign country by permission of the Kennel Club of that country or

                 (iv)  specially exempted by the Director.

            (f) “Unrecognized Show” shall mean and include any Dog Show or Dog Trial, or Working Trial or Field Trial or Match other than a “Recognized Show.”

            (g) “Puppy” shall mean a dog not exceeding nine months of age, dating from and inclusive of the day of its birth.

            (h) “Litter” shall mean the puppies born at one parturition.

(i) “Brace” shall mean two dogs of the same breed or variety of a breed belonging to one owner.

(j) “Team” shall mean three or more dogs of the same breed or variety of breed belonging to one owner.

            (k) “Prize” shall a money prize or a prize of any description won at a Dog Show or Dog Trial or Working Trial or Field Trial, including a Special Prize.

            (l) “Class” shall include a Special or a Stake or any competition at a Dog Show or Dog Trial, or Working Trial or Field Trial.

            (m) “Challenge Certificate” shall mean a Certificate awarded at a Championship Dog Show, in accordance with the Regulations governing the award of such Certificate by a judge who is duly authorized by the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., to award such Certificate.

            (n) “Rule” shall mean any Rule of the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates.

            (o) “Secretary” shall mean the Secretary of the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates.

            (p) “SKC” shall mean the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates.

            (q) “Show Secretary” shall mean the Secretary of the Show Committee.

5.         Dog Shows :-

(1) Dog Shows shall consist of

            (i) Championship Show at which Challenge Certificates are awarded for such breeds as the Director may approve.

            (ii) Open Show at which there are no restrictions as to exhibitors making such entries in such Classes as are provided.

(iii) Exemption Show organized by fetes, gymkhanas, charity associations, government or quasi-government bodies for which exemptions has been granted by the Director.

(2) Dogs registered with the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., shall be eligible to be entered only at a Recognized Show, except that no awards or prizes won by a dog at an Exemption Show shall be recognized by the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates.

6.         Permission to Hold a Dog Show :-

            (1) Application to hold a dog show shall be made to the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., herein after referred to as the SKC, mentioning the type of Show proposed to be held, duly signed by the Secretary and at least two members of the Show Committee, who shall primarily be responsible jointly or severally for the proper running of the Show, the payment of all bills, prizes and liabilities in connection with the Show and the observance of the Rules and Regulations and such conditions and directions as may be imposed and issued by the Director.

            (2) The application shall be posted along with the prescribed license fee to the Secretary, SKC, at least two months before the date proposed for the Show.

            (3) Where a Joint Show is proposed to be held by two or more Show Committee or Registered Centre on the same date/s and at the same place, one license fee shall be payable for such Show and one application shall be submitted, duly signed, by the Director, Secretary and at least two members of the Joint Show Committee at least two months before the date proposed for the Joint Show.

            (4) All terms and conditions mentioned in the Application to hold a Dog Show shall be deemed as if embodied in these Regulations and failure to comply with the terms and condition set forth therein shall render the Members of the Show Committee jointly and severally liable to be dealt with under Regulations 31.

            (5) No Show shall be held without the permission of the Director, previously had and obtained, and the Director shall have power to grant , refuse or withhold permission, or withdraw or cancel permission already granted to hold any Show without assigning any reason therefore, and in all cases the decision of the Director shall be final.

            (6) In granting permission to hold a Show under this Regulations or a Obedience Show under Regulations 24, the Director do not accept any financial responsibility in connection with the Show or Obedience Show as the case may be, and all liabilities shall be borne by the Show Committee.

 

7.         Schedules :-

            (1) The President shall through the Secretary, issue a Schedule of a Championship Show, which shall contain, inter alia :-

            (i) the Rules of the Show

            (ii) the names of the members of the Show Committee.

            (iii) the name of the judge/s

(iv) the name of the Ring and Show Stewards, where possible.

(v) an official entry form on which entries shall be made.

(vi) the date on which the entries will be closed.

(2) The closing date for entries shall not be before 30 days or within 5 days of the show.

8.         Entries :-

(1)        (a) A dog when entered shall be solely and unconditionally the property of the exhibitor, and except when specifically exempted shall be registered in his name and in accordance with the provisions contained in the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., Regulations for Registrations.

            (b) Notwithstanding sub-section (a) above, a dog which has not been registered with the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., at the time of making entries may be entered at any Show pending registration, provided an application for registration in the prescribed form, together with requisite fee, is sent to the Show Secretary along with the entry form, or direct to the Secretary, Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., The letters “A.F.R” meaning ‘Applied for Registration’ shall be entered on the entry form in the column provided for the SKC Registration number of the dog.

            (c)  (i) Entries shall be made on the prescribed form.

(ii) A separate entry form shall be filled in for the exhibits of each owner and the        declaration shall be signed by him.

(iii) Where a dog is registered jointly in the names of two or more persons, the same shall be entered in the names of all the owners.

(iv)The names of all the partners shall be mentioned in the entry form and the declaration signed by all of them.

(v) The owner making the entry shall be responsible for the correctness and accuracy of the particulars given in the entry form, and should any willful misrepresentation or inaccuracy or irregularity appear therein, the Director in addition to disqualifying the dog under Regulation 27 shall have power to impose on the owner any or all the penalties mentioned in Rule 20.

(d) The owner of a dog may (during the absence from United Arab Emirates, or for any other sufficient reason) empower another person to exhibit such dog, and on production of a letter to this effect the latter may enter and sign the entry form of such dog on owners behalf.

(e)  A dog may be sold with its engagements and exhibited in its new owner’s name, subject to the transfer being registered previous to the Show, with a declaration that the new owner undertakes to abide by the Rules and Regulations and conditions on the entry form of the show, provided written intimation to this effect is given to the Show Secretary, prior to the day of the Show.

(f)  No Show official may fill up any entry form except his own, or alter or carry out any correctness in any entry form except at the specific request of the exhibitor.

(2)        No exhibitor shall enter any dog which has been in the ownership of or boarded by or given attention to for payment or not within a period of six months prior to the date of the Show by the judge officiating at the Show, provided that this shall not apply to a substitute judge, if the judge of the breed be changed after the close of entries.

(3)        (a) All entries for a Show shall close at the time and date indicated in the Schedule, and no entry shall be accepted after the closing date, except that entries received by post bearing the postmark of the date for closing of entries may be accepted.

            (b) Nothing in the sub-section (a) shall apply to dog owned by non-commissioned officers and other ranks of the Armed Forces of United Arab Emirates for which exemption has been granted by the Director, and entries in such cases may be accepted up to the day of the Show at the discretion of the Show Committee.

(4)        A Show Committee may reserve the right to refuse to accept any entry, but any such refusal shall be reported immediately to the Secretary, Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates.

(5)      All dogs to be exhibited at a Show shall be registered with the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., and the registration number of all dogs or the letter ‘A.F.R’ as the case may be must be given on the show entry form, and Show Committee shall be responsible that in every instance the registration number or the letter ‘A.F.R’ is printed in the Show Catalogue in brackets after the dogs name, with the pedigree.

 

RULES FOR KENNEL REGISTRATIONS

In exercise of the power conferred by the Rule 7 of the Rules of the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., the following REGULATIONS FOR REGISTRATIONS are framed:-

1.  These Regulations shall be called the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates.,  Regulations for Registrations, hereinafter referred to as the Regulations and shall come into force at once.

2.   All Regulations for Registrations in force heretofore are hereby appealed.

3.   The provision contained in the Rule of the Shajah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., particularly Rule 3, 4, 7, 9, 19 to 22, and all the provisions contained in the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., Regulations for Shows shall apply to these Regulations.

4.    Definitions:-

(a) “Breeder” shall mean the person who is the owner of the dam at the time of its whelping, unless a Registration varying this definition has been effected under Regulations No. 25 (Loan of bitch for breeding purposes).

(b) “Bred in United Arab Emirates” shall mean that a dog is bred and begotten in United Arab Emirates. Any dog other than a Bred in United Arab Emirates., shall be termed “IMPORTED”.

(c) “Owner” shall mean the person who is solely and unconditionally registered as such under these Regulations.

5.    Registrations:- (1) The following registrations shall be made with the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., hereinafter referred to as the SKC on forms supplied for the purpose and in accordance with the conditions contained therein in respect of

(a) the name, & etc. of a dog,

(b) any change of name of a registered dog subject to Regulations 21.

(c) re-registration in rectification of any error or mission in a registration. No registration in another Breed or Variety thereof shall be made without the consent of the Managing Committee.

(d) A Prefix/Affix in the name of an individual or partnership.

(e) any transfer of ownership of a registered dog.

(f) a loan, lease or use of a bitch for breeding purposes.

(2)  Only dogs of the Breeds and Varieties thereof as are mentioned in Appendix (I) of Regulations for Shows, as may be amended from time to time and reproduced for convenience in Appendix (I) hereto may be registered.

(3) No dog born or cropped in United Arab Emirates, or its progeny, shall be registered with the SKC. If is found that the dog has been cropped subsequent to registration, such registration shall forthwith be cancelled.

(4) The acceptance of a registration of a dog shall not be deemed to be a guarantee of the correctness or accuracy of its pedigree.

(5) Any person applying for any registration shall thereby be deemed to have agreed to abide by the Rules and Regulations and Bye-Laws of the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., as may be amended and in force from time to time.

6.   The person applying for the registration of a dog shall be responsible for the correctness and accuracy of the statements made in the Application Form, and should any willful misrepresentation appear therein, the Managing Committee may refuse to accept the registration or cancel the registration if already made, and may also proceed against such person in accordance with the provision contained in Rule 20 of the Rules of the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates.

7.   The Managing Committee may decline to

      (a) Register any dog whose owner is suspended by or indebted to Centre or any other Registered Centre or Dog Show or Dog Trial or Working Trial or Field Trial.

      (b) accept for registration, or may cancel any registration already made for any other sufficient reason. In all cases the decision of the Managing Committee shall be final.

8.   Breed Registration:-

      (a) A dog bred from the parents of the same Breed or Variety of Breed shall be entered only in the Register of that Breed or Variety of Breed.

      (b) It is prohibited to serve a bitch in the same heat by two dogs, If intentionally or otherwise a bitch is served by two dogs in the same heat, the names of both dogs shall be given.

9.   The Managing Committee may allow any registered dog to be transferred to the Register of another Breed or Variety of Breed if in their opinion it should be so transferred.

10. Dogs with Pedigree Unknown in Whole or in Part:- A dog, whose pedigree is not known partly or in full, maybe registered on an application made by the owner in the prescribed form (SKC Form-A) accompanied by a Certificate of Opinion in the prescribed form (SKC Opinion Certificate ) duly signed by the owner and by a FCI Judge, whose name is on the Panel of Judges of the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates.,  or by a person as competent to judge the Breed and is authorized by the Managing Committee.

11. Application for Registration:-

      (a) Application for registration of a single dog from a litter shall be made in the prescribed form (SKC Form-A)

      (b) Except in the case of a dog registered provisionally under Regulation 17, a dog once registered shall be registered for life unless otherwise cancelled and no further fee shall be payable.

12. Name:-

      (a) An alternate name besides the one desired should be given in case the name first applied for be not available or be inadmissible.

      (b) The same word cannot be used as a part of the same name in registering more than one dog, unless such word is registered as the Prefix/Affix of the owner.

      (c) The names of notable persons, titles, kennels, countries, large towns, common names, well known dogs abroad or in United Arab Emirates or numbers in figures or words should not be selected, and the Managing Committee may refuse any such name without assigning any reasons thereof.

      (d) A name or names, excluding a registered Prefix/Affix shall not exceed 24 letters, except in the case of a dog already registered abroad.

      (e) A registered Prefix/Affix shall constitute a part of a name.

      (f) An imported dog registered abroad shall be registered in its original name.

13. Prefix/Affix:-

      (a) (i) Any person or partnership not exceeding two may reserve the right to the use of any Prefix/Affix (Subject to this Regulation and on such conditions as the Managing Committee may prescribe) provided that no Prefix/Affix known to be registered abroad maybe adopted in United Arab Emirates except by the registered owner thereof.

      (ii) Application for the registration of Prefix/Affix shall be made in the prescribed form (SKC Prefix/Affix Form-B)

      (b) A Prefix/Affix shall not be transferable except with the prior sanction of the Managing Committee.

      (c) A Prefix/Affix once registered shall not again be registered within 10 years from the date the original registration is cancelled or lapses, except by the registered owner on payment of the prescribed fee in force at the time of reapplication.

      (d) A word registered as Prefix/Affix maybe used either as a Prefix or an Affix.

      (e) A registered Prefix/Affix shall not be used as part of the names of any dog which has not been registered with the Sharjah Kennel Centre.

      (f) A registered Prefix/Affix shall be used as part of the name only of a dog registered by the owner of the Prefix/Affix. It shall not be used for any dog bred by such owner and registered by any other person.

      (g) Any breeder who desires to name pups with his registered Prefix/Affix must first register them in his own name and then transfer them to the new owners.

      (h) The Managing Committee reserves the right to cancel any Prefix/Affix granted under an application. The owner maybe allowed to reserve without further payment another approved Prefix/Affix, and the name of any dog registered under the cancelled Prefix/Affix shall be changed, and no fee shall be payable for such change of name.

      (l) The Managing Committee reserves the right to refuse any Prefix/Affix without assigning any reason therefore.

      (i) The granting of a Prefix/Affix does not carry with it the right to use the said Prefix/Affix in connection with the name of any dog, already registered, unless the application is made for changing the name (assuming it can be changed) and the prescribed fee is paid, vide Regulation 21.

      (j) Not withstanding sub-sections (a), and (i) of this Regulation, a breeder with a Prefix/Affix  duly registered with the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., who has requisitioned the services of a stud dog whose owner also has a registered Prefix/Affix, shall be allowed to use the Prefix/Affix of the owner of the sire in addition to his own in the name of not more than two puppies out of a litter sired by such dog, provided a written agreement to that effect, duly signed by the owners of both the dog and the bitch, is registered with the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., within eight days of the bitch being served.

15. Litter Registration:-Puppies may be registered only by the breeder at a reduced fee for each puppy provided.

      (a) application for registration of all the live puppies (being not less than two) of the litter is made in the prescribed form  (SKC Form-C) at one and the same time within thirty days of birth.

      (b) both the sire and dam of the puppies are registered with the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arb Emirates., and the breeder is recorded with the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., as the owner of the dam.

16. Imported Dog:- Application for registration of an imported dog shall be made in the prescribed form (SKC Form-A) and shall be accompanied by one or more of the following documents:

      (a) If the dog is registered abroad, a certified pedigree issued by the Kennel Club of the country of export in original, which will be returned, or a Photostat copy of the same, which will be retained.

      (b) If the dog is not registered abroad, the pedigree of the dog signed by the breeder or exporter, in original, which will be returned, or a Photostat copy of the same, which will be retained, and air or shipping bills or some similar document in proof that the dog has been imported.

17. Provisional Registration:-

      (a) To enable a dog to be entered at any Dog Show or Dog Trial or Working Trial or Field Trial, Provisional Registration may be granted pending receipt of home papers in respect of a dog imported from abroad, and receipt of pedigree in case of a dog bred in United Arab Emirates.

      (b) The Provisional Registration shall be valid for 90 days from date of issue, after which it shall be cancelled and the dog shall not be eligible for entry at any Dog Show or Dog Trial or Working Trial or Field Trial, unless it has been re-registered either provisionally under this Regulation or permanently under Regulations 12.

18. Re-Registration:- The Managing Committee may at their discretion allow a dog registered under these Regulations either

      (a) with pedigree unknown in part or in full or

      (b) with incorrect particulars

      To be reregistered on an application made by the owner for the purpose and on payment of the prescribed fee.

19. Cancellation:-

(1) The Managing Committee may at its discretion allow the registration of a dog to be cancelled on an application made by the owner, provided the dog has not been

      (a) transferred

      (b) exhibited

      (c) bred from and

      (d) registered as one of a litter under Regulations 15, and on each such cancellation the dog shall be deemed never to have been registered.

      (2) Not withstanding sub-section (1) of this Regulation, the Managing Committee may allow the cancellation of a registered dog for any sufficient reason on an application made in writing by the owner.

      (3) Nothing in this Regulation shall effect the decision of the Managing Committee cancelling the registration of any dog under any other Rule or Regulation.

20. Transfer:-

(1) On any change of ownership of a registered dog, the Registration Certificate shall be made over to the new owner with a transfer application form duly signed by the registered owner.

(2) Application for registration of a transfer of a registered dog shall be made in the prescribed form (SKC Transfer of ownership Form) and shall be accompanied by the original Registration Certificate for endorsement, and the prescribed fee.

(3) No dog shall be eligible for entry at any Dog Show or Dog Trial or Working Trial or Field Trial, in the name of the transferee until the change in ownership has been duly registered with the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates.

21. Change of Name:-   

(1) The name of a registered dog or of a dog that has won a Challenge Certificate, or the name of a dog bearing a registered Prefix/Affix , or the name of an imported dog registered abroad shall not be changed.

22. Certified Pedigree:- A certified  pedigree of any registered dog may be obtained  from the    Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., by the registered owner, or by a person duly authorized in writing by such registered owner, on payment of the prescribed fee.

23. Breeder’s Diploma:-The breeder of a registered dog which has qualified for the title of Champions in accordance with Regulation 13 of Regulations for Shows, may obtain from the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., a Breeder’s Diploma in respect of such dog on an application made for the purpose and on payment of the prescribed fee.

24. Championship Certificate and Obedience Championship Certificate:-The owner of a dog which has qualified for the title of Champion or Obedience Champion in accordance with Regulations 13 of the Regulations for Shows, may obtain from the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates., a Championship Certificate or Obedience Championship Certificate as the case may be in respect of such dog on an application made for the purpose and on payment of the prescribed fee.

25. Loan of Bitch for Breeding Purposes:- (1) The owner of a bitch duly registered under these Regulations wishing to lend the same for breeding purposes may register the loan with the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates.

(2) Application shall be made in the prescribed form (SKC Lease Agreement Form) which shall be signed by the parties to the loan.

(3) The terms and condition attached to the loan shall be fully disclosed and shall be subject to the approval of the Managing Committee, and shall not be altered or varied during the period the registration is in force.

(4) No lone which is for a period of less than six months shall be accepted for registration.

(5) A loan once registered shall remain in force for the period stated therein, unless cancelled by the Managing Committee, or by mutual consent of the parties concerned, after giving due notice to the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates.

(6) Any dispute arising in respect of or relating to or connected with a loan should be referred to the Managing Committee, and the decision of the Managing Committee upon any dispute so referred shall be final and binding on the parties concerned jointly and severally.

26.       The fee mentioned in the Table of fees in Appendix (II) hereto must accompany any application in the prescribed form.

Rules For Dogs Breeding

Global cooperation perpetuates interaction between dog breeders and maintains the health and well-being of dogs.

Member’s Code of Ethics

  1. All members of the Sharjah Kennel, United Arab Emirates., undertake to abide by its general Code of Ethics.
  2. Members will properly house, feed, water and exercise all dogs under their care and arrange for appropriate veterinary attention if and when required.
  3. Members will agree without reservation that any veterinary surgeon performing an operation on any of their dogs which alters the natural conformation of the animal, or who carries out a caesarean section on a bitch, may report such operation to the Sharjah Kennel Centre, United Arab Emirates.
  4. Members will agree that no healthy puppy will be culled. Puppies which may not conform to the Breed Standard should be placed in suitable homes.
  5. Members will agree not to breed from a dog or bitch which could be in any way harmful to the dog or to the breed.
  6. Members will not allow any of their dogs to roam at large or to cause a nuisance to the neighbours or those carrying out official duties.
  7. Members will ensure that they are kept leashed or under effective control when away from home.
  8. Members will clean up after their dogs in public places or anywhere their dogs are being exhibited.
  9. Members will only sell dogs where there is a reasonable expectation of a happy and healthy life and will help with the re-homing of a dog if the initial circumstances change.
  10. Will supply written details of all dietary requirements and give guidance concerning responsible ownership when placing dogs in a new home.
  11. Members will ensure that all relevant the Sharjah Kennel Centre, & SKC-GSD, United Arab Emirates., documents are provided to the new owner when selling or transferring a dog, and will agree, in writing, to forward any relevant documents at the earliest opportunity, if not immediately available.
  12. Will not sell any dog to commercial dog wholesalers, retail pet dealers or directly or indirectly allow dogs to be given as a prize or donation in a competition of any kind. Will not knowingly misrepresent the characteristics of a dog, nor falsely advertise dogs nor mislead any person regarding the health or quality of a dog.

Breeder’s Code of Ethics

  1. To maintain the best possible standards of health and care in my kennels.
  2. To refuse to sell to, or recommend, unethical breeders or to sell to any buyer where they have reason to believe the puppy will not be properly cared for.
  3. To refuse to sell to dog wholesalers or retailers.
  4. To keep and pass on to buyers of puppies or adult dog’s accurate health, breeding, registration and pedigree records. Papers may be withheld or a breeder’s right retained by mutual agreement in writing.
  5. To urge all buyers to have a puppy or adult dog sold by me examined by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of receipt.
  6. To deliver or ship only puppies or adult dogs of sound health and temperament. Where the buyer or his authorized representative did not personally see and choose the puppy or adult dog being shipped, a recommended, minimum period of 48-72 hours is granted to return or advise that he will return the animal promptly.
  7. To use a sales contact or written agreement to cover any sale or purchase involving a dog is recommended.

 

RULES FOR DOGS

The Sharjah Kennel Center for Dog Care was established with the approval of the Executive Council No. (28) inr the year 2016 and follows the Environment and Nature Reserves Authority of the Emirate. The center aims to provide support and guidance to owners and breeders of dogs and to provide necessary services for training, Community awareness about how to deal with dogs and how to exploit them in the service of the individual and society and the establishment of training courses for this purpose. 

The Center specializes in issuing identification cards and birth certificates for dogs according to the procedures and systems used worldwide, and the establishment of presentations and competitions in the fields related to dogs according to the best international practices and the signing of international conventions that enable the Center to obtain international recognition and enable local educators registered with the Center to participate in international and local competitions Approved.
